1-14 The Remnant is one with the Fire of God.

Last week we studied about the Remnant being filled with the Spirit of the Living God and thereby being connected to Him in this way. But there is another facet that comes with the Holy Ghost/Spirit of God. It is Fire. Two verses stand out clearly on this subject.

Matt 3:9-12 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. KJV

Matt 7:18-21 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. KJV

We can see by these verses there is Good Fire that comes from God, and a Consuming Fire which also comes from Him. He is very clear on the purposes of each.

The Fire of the Holy Ghost cleans us up, burns out the chaff, inspires us, warms us up to do the work of God. But, the Consuming Fire burns up. Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Matt 25:41-46 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

In the Old testament God lead Israel by Fire. Num 14:14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night. The Fire both lit the way and lead the way and represented His Presence with His people.

In the New Testament we are baptized IN the Fire. We are likened unto silver which is set in fire and the impurities come up to the top and are removed. What is left is valuable for any use that the creator decides He wants it for. Ps 66:8-10 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: 9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. 10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

Fire purifies/burns out the chaff

Fire chases the enemy

Fire warms the heart and the body

Fire lights everything around it

Fire has to be lit

Fire has to be tended

Fire has to have fuel

Fire has to be in control and have boundaries

Today our world is in turmoil because of a threat of a virus, because of people who panic and spread news like wildfire. The government is teaching man to come into subjection to the powers that be in preparation for the times of the anti-christ. Communism/Socialism is taking brave steps towards their goals.

Today I challenge the Remnant. Who are you in the midst of this chaos? Who do you represent? Do you really believe what you say about God has our good in mind? Whom do you believe? The report of the Lord, or the report of man?

Man says, “Pandemic. Millions will die.” And the government begins to take over the world.

God says, in Acts 2:16-21, “In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Man says, “Mandatory lockdown. Do not leave your house.”

God says, in Heb 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Note: This can be even a group of two or three in a home, but the fellowshipping of saints builds them up in their most holy faith. Iron sharpens iron. Prayer for one another strengthens, heals, delivers, feeds, protects…etc.)

God says, in Heb 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

God says, in Rev 12:9-12, “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
