1-24 The Remnant is given the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph. 1:14-23 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession,  unto the praise of his glory. 15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Eph 1:13-23 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

On our last blog we stopped at verse 23 knowing that we, as the Remnant, are sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise.

The treasures we receive from the Spirit of Promise are many, among which are Wisdom and Revelation. We find there is One Father God, One Lord Jesus, and One Holy Spirit emanating from them into us to return us to the image of our God, from the inside.

What a simple straight forward  approach compared to the religions of this world which have many gods and many spirits pulling them this way and that and destroying them in the end. Our God sent His Son to save us and to fill us with His Spirit. We are blessed above everything of this earth. The Remnant is one body, going the same direction, following their leader and God. (Eph 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. )

Eph. 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

The Remnant is the possession of the Lord and has been purchased at a great price, Jesus’ life for our redemption. How He deserves the praise for the glorious rescue He has given us. He has given us the Spirit, the connection, as our inheritance. Through the spiritual connection of the Holy Spirit we come to be a part of Him, one with Him, and the Father throughout all eternity after this life is over.

Possession is a word with many connotations. To many it means a demonic evil ownership that they fear – with good reason. But, Biblically, there is a whole concept behind possession that many do not grasp. It is a good concept that the Remnant understands.

In the garden man was created and one with the Creator. By the very process of creation we were the possession of God and the connection was one of mutual joy, consent, and love. Man was created to be a pleasure, desired. The Creator walked and talked with His man and woman and they enjoyed their relationship.

When the enemy gained possession of man, through his temptations, the battle began. A price tag was placed on God’s prized creation. Man had to be fixed, the damages erased. The only cost that would suffice was an innocent death and the shedding of innocent blood. Only Jesus could fill that bill. He was able to erase the confusion and corruption that had entered man’s being. He could only do it by passing through the portal of the grave and rising again. Death was broken, destroyed. Life had come forth – spiritual life. His victory over death provided a way for the Spirit of Promise to come. Now He could baptize us in the Spirit.

(Phil 2:5-9 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name🙂

(Rom 6:9-10 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.)

Jesus explained to the disciples that He had to go away before He could send the Holy Spirit of Promise. The reason is, until He died and arose, victory had not been won over death. The Life of the Spirit could not legally enter into mankind. The price had to be paid to take away the enemies license to our souls.

(John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.)

John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way for the Lord’s coming. He prophesied Jesus’ coming and then the baptism of the Holy Ghost/Spirit.

(Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.)

(Mark 10:39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:)

Eph. 1:15-17 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

When we are baptized in the Spirit two of the things that come to us are wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Wisdom grows out of the gaining understanding and applying its principles. Knowledge can come either by spiritual insight or by studying of the written Word. The Remnant, to function properly, must have the spiritually gained wisdom and revelation of Christ which is granted to us from the Father God. It only comes through a relationship with Him.

Eph. 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Enlightened understanding…. that which is received from Father God and from our Lord Jesus via the Holy Spirit of Promise.

Eph. 1:19-23 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

The Holy Ghost power baptism was released to the people of God soon after the Father God raised up Christ from the dead.  The way was cleared for the infilling of the Holy Ghost – baptism.

The Father also gave everything over into the hands of the Son with all power, both in heaven and in earth. The war is on. The Son is going to win and bring down all the evil powers and authorities of this earth. The Remnant are His partners in this effort. He will then turn everything back to the Father and be joint-heir with us in the eternal kingdom.

Matt 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

1 Cor 15:24-28 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

We are on the winning team as the Remnant of Jesus. Whether we live or die, to live is Christ and to die is gain. We have an eternal future in heaven not to even be known while we dwell here.
